Federal Compliance: Disability, Pregnancy, And Religious Accommodations
This 3-hour training is designed to support federal managers, supervisors, and human resources professionals in navigating accommodation requirements under key federal laws and regulations. The session addresses the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), applicable provisions of the Rehabilitation Act, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act regarding religious accommodations. Through policy-driven scenarios and real-world applications, participants will strengthen their understanding of compliance obligations, improve employee engagement, and promote inclusive federal workplaces. Participants will receive a certificate after completion.
Course Objectives:
- Interpret legal requirements under ADA, PWFA, and Title VII
- Recognize agency-specific responsibilities in managing accommodation requests for disability, pregnancy, and religious practices
- Apply best practices in engaging in the interactive process and documenting accommodation decisions
- Anticipate legal and operational consequences of noncompliance within a workplace
