Marietta M. Allen Chief Operating Officer
Marietta M. Allen is currently the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Training and Development Strategies, LLC, located in Manassas, VA. TADSLLC is a small business entity specializing in three key elements, Human Resources Management, Equal Employment Opportunity and Organizational/Professional Development. As the COO, Marietta provides leadership and oversight in the business development and the day to day administration. She focuses on the operations of the organization to meet business goals and long-term projections. She serves as the lead in managing the financial records, edits course materials and general office maintenance. She is the chief capture and proposal writer, creates and implement business development strategies designed to expand the business opportunities locally and nationally.
She has over 33 years of combined federal service with the Department of the Interior and Department of the Army. Prior to retirement from federal service, Marietta held several key senior management positions to include department level Chief of Staff, Budget Officer, Capital Investment Portfolio Manager and Senior Program Analyst. While serving in these roles, her extensive management experience and attention to details accelerated her into leading key program initiatives at the Department and Bureau levels.
Following her federal retirement, Marietta joined the American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC), a non-profit, non-partisan government and industry association. She served as the Senior Director, Strategic Initiatives and Government Outreach. In this role, she was responsible for the overall strategy, excelling the association in engaging over 5,000 federal workers in collaborative and thought-provoking solutions related to the workforce, cybersecurity, IT management and many other industry and government common challenges.
Marietta is the graduate of several esteem leadership programs to include the Army Management Staff College, the Advanced Resource Management Course, Harvard JFK School of Government, and the Material Acquisition Management Course. She is level III certified in Business Cost Estimating, and Financial Management and Program Management from the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). Marietta completed all requirements for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through course work at the Department of the Interior University (DOIU) presented by George Washington University.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, at the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff and MSA, Information Resources Management at Central Michigan University. Marietta is a Senior Fellow with the Partnership for Public Service, formerly the Council for Excellence in Government.
Marietta currently resides with her husband, Oliver, in Manassas, Virginia.
